I booked with Yuhao, for help with Organic chemistry I and Yuhao spent all the time required to help me understand the topics and concepts in an adaptive teaching style with constructive feedback. This was an amazing first tutoring math session for my son who is in grade 5 at an IB school. Karen was knowledgeable but most of all, patient with explaining things to me and my son. Ed has a very adaptable teaching style. He was able to fill my knowledge gaps and offer a refresher on some basic concept without making me feel like I'm falling behind. He also helped me formulate my questions and results correctly. By the end of the 60 minutes I felt like I had a great head start! As a bonus, he also sparked my interest in group theory which was not included in my original question. He was able to take my interest in arts and include it in the examples he used to make the lesson more enjoyable. Overall I would hire Ed again for my future math needs. I have the privilege of getting tutored by Farhaan and he is one of the best tutors I have ever had. Farhaan is a very high quality tutor who takes the time to make sure you understand the material. He goes through each question step by step and makes you explain the answer to him. He is extremely dedicated and truly cares about his students. A couple examples of this, there was a time he called me at night just after putting his kids to bed to give me a few answers to a question because I had a test the next day. Another time I had a big assignment due and he fit me in multiple times that day just to make sure I would get it done. Above all he is an extremely kind person and it is an absolute pleasure to work with him. I would highly recommend Farhaan to any student.
While working with Richard, I felt extremely supported and looked after when working through the problems I had. Richard very clearly has an excellent mind for everything he works through with students (physics for me) and really can break down a problem that is a struggle for some. I think that Richard is someone I will definitely come back to when I need help in the future and need a thorough explanation of the topic at hand.
Had a session for university physics and found that Jake helped me understand concepts and actually apply them much better than any lecture or tutorial has helped before. Do you edit reviews?
No. Every review shows exactly as the client wrote it. The only thing we leave out is their last name, to protect their privacy.
Why don’t I see reviews for every tutor?
Leaving a review is optional, so not every client writes one, and newer tutors can take a while to get their first. We also only show reviews for tutors who teach with TutorLyft today. When a tutor leaves, their reviews come down with their profile.
