This also means setting high expectations and encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones so they can continue to grow & improve as learners.
Students-centered. My teaching philosophy from day one has been to provide an positive & engaging learning experience for all my students. I make sure that I get to know all my students as learners and as individuals and cater my lessons accordingly so they have the best chance at success and enjoyment.
Go easier on yourself. As long as you put forth your best effort and you enjoy what you're doing, it will all work out. Maybe not immediately, but it will!
occasionally struggle with the subjects I teach. I will not claim to be an expert in the courses I teach or tutor because I am certainly not. However, each year I have been teaching, I have been able to work hard to learn and become more proficient in my teaching practices. I am more than willing to take on subjects that I am less proficient in!
