Not everyone learns the same way! I remember my first teaching job was in Grade 7 Math and French, initially trying to teach the way I had learned best. I discovered that offering more variety in approaches helped a wider range of students feel more successful. I think it's important to work collaboratively to help you reach your goals.
Have ADHD and Autism. I didn't know myself until recently! It has shifted how I support students who come to me from that background. In retrospect, I now see that most of my tutoring students have been in that zone too. :)
