Makes complex ideas make sense and encourages them to be curious and think deeper. I strive to create a supportive space where my students feel confident to learn and be themselves.
Collaborative, adaptive, and firm. I meet students where they're at and challenge them to go further by equipping them with the tools they need. My focus is on enhancing your critical thinking and building analytical skills that will serve you in every part of your life.
Practice asking more questions. No one (except you) is judging you for asking. Curiosity is a strength and will help you grow as a thinker, learner, and communicator. I say "practice" because yes, it's difficult, so start with small stuff to build confidence.
Have a background in equity and inclusion work, so I bring both a critical and compassionate lens to my teaching. I'm also a nerd who loves connecting literature and theory to pop culture, gaming, and film. This is one of the most enjoyable and accessible ways we can incorporate "academic" or critical thinking into everyday life and strengthen our media and cultural literacy.
