Getting in
Can I get into UBC?
Tell us two things and we'll show where you'd sit among the students UBC admitted.
Overall
2025/26, Vancouver campus: 55% of domestic and 71% of international applicants were admitted. About 13% of admitted students wouldn't have got in on grades alone.
Grades aren't everything
Most programs need a personal profile: short written answers of 500 to 2,100 characters and two references. Design (BDes), Dental Hygiene and Music don't use it. UBC doesn't publish how it is weighted.
How your marks are counted
UBC looks at all your Grade 11 and 12 courses, then at the Grade 11 and 12 courses in the subject groups each program sets. Applied Design, Career Education, faith-based and PHE courses don't count.
Cost
What will my first year cost?
All Canadian students pay $206.69 a credit. International tuition depends on the program, from $51,530.40 in Arts to $66,678.30 in Commerce.
After your first degree
Planning a professional degree?
Medicine, law and the rest start after university, not after Grade 12. Pick one to see what it asks for.
